Our Pre-School room at Toddler Town provides nursery education for children between the ages of 3-5 years and is registered for 15 children per session. Sessions are held each morning and afternoon.

The children within the pre-school are in receipt of nursery education funding and are taught by three qualified nursery practitioners who are supported by an ‘Early Years Advisory Teacher’ from the Early Years Child Care Development Team.

The pre-school environment is designed to enable children to work together and develop independence both indoors and out. The activities planned focus on the ‘Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum’ and are based on learning through play.


The curriculum covers the following areas of learning:

  • Personal, Social and Emotional
  • Communication, Language and Literacy
  • Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy
  • Knowledge and understanding of the world
  • Physical development
  • Creative development

The Above six areas of learning are introduced through a variety of suitable play activities linked to a topic.
